To tell you a little bit about my family and myself…I have two children, Kamiyah and Mia. I have been in the childcare industry over 20 years. We established Study to Show Learning Academy, LLC in July 2010. I have a Bachelors degree in Psychology. I have a Masters degree in Counseling. I have an Associates degree in Early Childhood Education, and I have a National CDA, or a Child Development Associate Credential.
I am certified by the Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools to teach kindergarten through sixth grade. My family childcare home is nationally accredited through NAFCC, or the National Association for Family Child Care. I am 5 star-rated through the Early Learning Coalition of Duval’s Guiding Stars program, and I am deemed of Gold Seal quality through the state of Florida. I am certified in CPR and First Aid and I also am an instructor and I teach CPR/AED and First Aid courses. The teachers here are well educated from CDA’s to Master’s degrees and we have the enthusiasm, compassion, and qualifications to provide an engaging environment for your child. Every instructor is subjected to an extensive local and national background check, trained in early child care as well as certified in CPR/AED and first aid. I have a wonderful assistant, Kamiyah, who works with me every day and a substitute, who is willing to step in whenever needed. We also have a backup substitute for our substitute. We strive to provide a playful, safe and kid friendly environment at all times so that our kids can learn.

As a professional educator, my goal is to provide a safe and happy place for children where they can learn and grow physically, emotionally, intellectually, and socially at their own pace. I believe children learn through play and benefit from a structured, yet flexible schedule. Activities will be offered which stimulate sensory and gross motor development, language development and social interaction. The development of strong self-esteem is also a major goal.
